RABBITS
By Shreya Parikh
Rabbits are mammals that belong to the Lagomorph’s group that also includes hares and pikas (Lagomorphs means
'hare-shaped').Rabbits have teeth that continually grow. Rabbits are most most active at dawn and dusk and often nap during
the day.abbits form the Family Leporidae under which there are over 50 species. The rabbit species widely kept as a pet is Oryctolagus cuniculus and within this species various breeds have been developed by enhancing different characteristics through selective breeding. Rabbits are herbivores (plant eating)
and have a high reproduction rate. They have long ears, powerful hind legs with long feet and a short, furry, upturned tail.

A dog is a best
friend with a sixth sense. If a dog loves its master, it will know what is going on – eg, if a dog’s master dies,
and the dog is not present, it will howl with fear if it ever passes the spot again.

CATS
By

Cars are lovely
animals, but ancient and independent. Ancient Greeks thought cats were god in animal form. Cats, unlike dogs, will not follow
their masters, but would hang around at home !!! (not that they do not like their masters!)
Cat breeds:
Cat breeds can
be very funny. I was going through a book and I saw a breed called Bombay! (I don’t live in a cat, maybe that’s
why they call it Mumbai !!!!! )
Cool fact:
Warning: if you
lived in ancient Greece and hurt a cat
– off to the gallows you would go !!! (if there were any ! )
THE OCTOPUS
By
Vedant Parikh
An octopus has
eight arms. An octopus does not live for more than one year. There are about 100 different species of octopus. Most of them
live in rocky, sandy or muddy bottoms of shallow oceans throughout the world. Others live in deep waters.
An octopus can
be as large as a Giant Octopus which weighs 50 kg and measures 6 metres, or as small as 2.5 cm and weighing less than 28 grams.
