Homework is naughty

But not as naughty as me

But I can beat you.

                        - Vrinda Gangwal

                                   A fat policeman

Much too lazy to work, wished

                            For no traffic jams.

                      -         Jinali Mody

 Pingu the penguin

Sat by the blue lake, hoping

He would get a fish

-         Shreya Parikh

            Homework is so bad

            But however much it tries

            But I can beat him!!

                                                - Vrinda Gangwal

Old doggy sitting

Watching a cat on a tree

Wanting to chase it.

                        - Isha Chawla

             Colours, oh, colours!

You fill me up with delight

             And you make me smile

                                    - Arnavi Mehta

Old doggy sitting

Watching autumn leaves blow by

Wishing they were bones.

-         Aarushi Sanghai

            My brother plays flutes

           They make spectacular tunes

           He plays many songs

                                    LIMERICKS

I don’t like my maths teacher to teach

Because her hair colour is peach,

She is very very good

But she makes us bored,

Some people call her a leech !

-         Vedant Parikh

Ms Naik my geography teacher

Was explaining us Africa’s features

Brazil’s map she painted

And suddenly fainted,

Then we all had fun saving our teacher.

                                    - Shreya Parikh

There was a huge wide magic road

With a  huge tall magic toad,

There were frogs on the side

Of a bin, but inside,

And outside was a heavy load.

                                                - Udit Sheth

Mrs. Daner’s little boy’s name was Stinky Stink,

But Stinky Stink had no black ink,

And his exams were the very next day

That’s why he was not happy and gay,

‘Cause all his friends teased him, specially Winky Wink.

                                                - Simran Gupta

There was a dustbin on the road,

Which contained a magical toad,

He jumped into a shoebox

And got chicken pox

And set the world in a terrible mode!

                                                - Isha Chawla

I am so very sweet,

So am I very neat,

I am wise

So am nice

But my brother I will beat.

-         Arnavi Mehta

You’re not allowed to go out on a sunny day,

Of course, there’s homework to do and no time to play,

While friends, to be cool

Go for a swim in the pool,

In the blazing hot sun of May.

-         Eesha Barjatya

There was a young clever horse

Who went to a dancing course,

She was very funny

As she took a pot of honey

And seven bottles of sauce

                             CRICKET
                 By Snehil Gupta

Cricket is what I love to watch,
The exciting part is when the captains toss,
Who will start batting without a loss?
Hayden and Gilchrist took the bat,
Martyn hits a four
His dil maange more!
Ponting hits a six
But there is always a risk.
Pathan bowled a wide,
Parthiv flew and dived.
When Rahul brilliantly bats
The fielders run like rats,
The Indians fought,
The kangaroos caught,
The game was over
And we were on the top!

DAN  THE  DEMON

BY EESHA  BARJATYA AND HER

 COUSIN SUYASH

Dan is the demon of this land,

He has soap on his head and glue on his hand.

He has a dirty pin in his weird weird nose,

He has two knives stuck on his stinky stinky toes.

He has five five magic wands,

He calls them Colly, Molly, Tolly, Wolly and Tonds.

He has three lovely lovely friends,

Their names are Tam, Bam and Grends.

Dan is the demon of this country,

His father works in an industry, and his name is

 Tantry.

His mum’s name is Candy,

He even has a nanny.

He eats spiders day by day,

He eats spiders by the bay.

Dan is the demon of his home,

He has two clever brothers who are as tiny as a comb.

He has three big sisters,

And a dumb little cat,

Who is afraid of her own kittens,

And what do you think of that?

Yuck! Once I had seen him,

Really its true!

And when I smelt his hand,

It smelt like the worlds most disgusting glue!

Then he showed me his treasure,

That from his part was kind,

But it was all dirty and old,

I said this in my mind.

Then he showed me his house,

I did not like the dirty rice,

And his wife was wearing torn clothes,

She seemed to think it is nice.

Dan wears frocks and hairbands,

And shares them with his friends,

Though Tam and Bam like them,

They are too babyish for Grends!

My Cute Little Sister

by Anushka Kapur

avika.jpg
HERE'S AVIKA !

My sister’s name is “Avika”. She is only three months old. Avika loves playing with my friend Sanskriti and me. Whenever Sanskriti comes to my house, we both just play with her. If you stick your tongue out, my sister will do the same!

Avika is always the first one to get up in the morning – at 4 am, and sleeps as late as 1 am! But before 1 o’clock, she always plays and never lets me sleep because when I play with her once, I never want to stop.

My sister is so sweet and loving that you would never want to stop playing with her, even if you dislike all the babies you have seen !

Should I tell you something Avika hates? She hates to be all alone in the room, and she always wants someone or the other to be talking to her. But if you ever dare to touch her cheeks she will cry so loudly that you may go deaf! So remember: never ever touch her cheeks if you meet her !

Avika is the sweetest child in the whole wide world.
